Domenic Torzi has a canny hand with Italian varieties in the Barossa, managing to let the regional generosity of fruit flavours unravel, while stamping them with judicious oak (9 months in larger, neutral format), a gentle rasp of whole-bunch briar and varietal DNA: sangiovese’s sinew and flirtatious acidity stroll across red berry notes.
