Morris Rutherglen Tokay Barrel Australian Whisky 700ml

This unique whisky is crafted using all Australian local ingredients and is aged in predominately French oak ex red wine casks at the regional distillery in Rutherglen, Victoria. The whisky gains incredible flavor from the family's own prized fortified barrels. It is then finished in barrels that have previously held the award-winning 15-year-old Morris Cellar Reserve Grand Topaque (Tokay), which imparts intense flavors of toffee, mocha, and soft caramel with a generous mid-palate.

The color of the whisky is a rich copper, and on the nose, there is a subtle intensity of rich dried orchard fruits, malted butterscotch, and burnt toffee pecan. On the palate, the whisky showcases the vibrance of fresh fruit, layered with rich flavors of white chocolate creme brulee and a hint of toasted spice. The finish is lavish and indulgent, with vibrant raisin flavors that give way to warm malted honeycomb.

This whisky has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including a gold medal in the World Whisky Masters 2023, a platinum award in the SIP Awards '23, a gold medal in the International Spirits Challenge '23, a gold medal in the World Whisky Masters (Spirits Business Magazine) '22, a gold medal in the Australian Distilled Spirits Awards '22, a double gold medal in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2022, and a gold medal in the World Whisky Masters (Spirits Business Magazine) '21.
