The majority of oak sherry seasoned casks brought into Scotland are imported by Macallan. The most expensive of these are those from Jerez, Spain and they have been reserved for The Macallan Sherry Oak range of Scotches. The Macallan 12 Year Old Sherry Oak is considered the best of this line with its mature, ultra-smooth texture and a deep, well rounded flavour profile full of dried fruit and wood spices. Sadly, this offering is being replaced by the Macallan 1824 series so stock up with this classic jewel before stocks are depleted.
