Glenturret Sherry Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml

Glenturret, the oldest single Highland malt distillery in Scotland, was established in 1775, although its origins can be traced back to 1717 when there were numerous illicit stills in Glenturret. After closing in the mid-1920s, it was revived in the late 1950s by Peter Fairlie, who successfully positioned The Macallan brand on a global scale. The distillery's main focus is on producing the blended whisky Famous Grouse, which is showcased in its popular visitors center named 'The Famous Grouse Experience', attracting over 120,000 visitors each year. Touser, the distillery cat (1963 – 1987), gained legendary status for her exceptional mouse-catching abilities. She reportedly eliminated 28,899 mice, although the source of this count remains unclear. When it comes to the whisky itself, expect a mellow, full-bodied, and smooth drink. Glenturret's whiskies are typically light in color and offer a harmonious blend of aged oak, sweet honey, fresh fruits, and barley.
