Auchentoshan Three Wood 700ml

One of the most complex 12-year-old Lowland single malts to be found, Auchentoshan Three Wood spends the first 10 years of its maturation in first-fill bourbon barrels. Then it is polished in Spanish Oloroso Sherry casks for a full year. But the process doesn't end there. To add another layer of complexity to its flavour profile, it spends another year finishing in Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks. The result is a rich fruity scotch that borders on having a rum's sweetness mingled with dark treacle, toffee and chocolate tones and a superb finish full of creamy wooded notes.
