The fruit, harvested at its peak maturity and flavor, underwent a meticulous process of crushing, destemming, and separate fermentation for a duration of seven to twelve days on skins. Natural warming, along with careful plunging and gentle pumping over, was employed to extract maximum color and flavor. Cooling during the middle of fermentation extended the process, effectively utilizing time on skins to enhance the wine's structure and length. Some batches remained on skins until dryness, while others completed fermentation in barrel, resulting in a harmonious integration of oak characteristics and an elevated texture and complexity.

The nose of this wine is characterized by an uplifting and fragrant aroma, featuring notes of blackberry, cassis, and dark plum fruit, complemented by nuances of roast coffee, chocolate, fennel seed, and toasted nuts derived from barrel fermentation and maturation. Subtle hints of tobacco leaf provide an additional layer of appeal.

On the palate, this wine reveals a rich, generous, and complex profile, displaying flavors of dark plum and blackcurrant fruit, intertwined with savory notes of coffee and cedary oak. True to the distinctive style of our Black Label range, this wine showcases a unique structural finesse that surpasses regional and varietal influences. Its seamless texture, well-balanced composition, long-lasting fruit, and smooth, chocolatey tannins exhibit both power and elegance.
