Nant Sherry Cask 500ml

Speyside distilleries may be known for their sherry cask offerings, but perhaps they should visit down under to learn a few new tricks. Nant Distillery was built in Tasmania in 2008 with an eye towards bottling a limited number of single cask single malts each year. Their latest, Sherry Cask is a wonder. With a malty core enhanced by touches of rum-soaked raisins, vanilla and plum pudding, it has a rich creaminess that brings to mind a fine cognac more than sherry. On further tasting, It also presents a distinctive nuttiness and slight coffee acidity just before its finished.
