Established in 1910, Matsui Shuzou also goes by the name of Kurayoshi Distillery. It is located in the southwest of Japan, in the Tottori Prefecture on the Sea of Japan. Well known as a sake brewery and shochu distillery, they import whiskey from various Scottish distilleries, then blend it with Japanese-distilled malted barley and age the spirit for a further 3-18 years. Kurayoshi Pure Malt Sherry Cask is a 43% ABV Japanese Pure Malt Whisky that's aged and then married with the beautiful local volcanic stone filtered water.
