An Irish for those who like their whiskey a little on the sweet side. Hyde No.5 6 Year Old is a single grain offering from Hibernia Distillers that is aged in Burgundy wine barrels for a minimum of 6 years and bottled at 46% ABV. Its nose is well rounded with strawberries, cherries and brown sugar standing out. On the tongue, the wine's influence comes more to the front with more berries, cinnamon iced buns, grapefruit and sweet vanilla being joined by orange blossoms, apple peels and honey. Hyde No.5 6 Year Old's finish is exceedingly long with plum jam, oak and barley left lying on the tongue.
