Launched in 2013 in the Mosel Valley wine-growing region, Ferdinand's Saar is a global award-winning series of wine-infused gins from the Avadis Distillery, which has been around for 200 years. Ferdinand's moniker is a homage to Ferdinand Geltz who co-founded the VDP Mosel Saar Ruwer Zilliken estate, the winery where the grapes are grown for Ferdinand's Saa, and has been producing wine for over 275 years. Ferdinand's Saar Dry Gin is a 44% ABV Slate Infused Riesling Gin with aromas of juniper, loads of lavender, lemon meringue, vanilla, lemongrass, coriander and pine that flows across the palate with pear, piney juniper, ginger, lemon curd, cinnamon and vanilla.
