Boatrocker is a small, family owned and run brewery and distillery in Melbourne's southeast. Founded in 2009 by Matt & Andrea Houghton, Boatrocker sets out to challenge the status quo of beers and spirits, celebrating traditional styles whilst pushing the boundaries and finding new and exciting flavour profiles. Boatrocker Pilsner is a traditional 4.5% ABV German-style pilsner with a new world twist of Kiwi hops brewed with German pilsner malt and true lager yeast, that is no doubt a tip of the cap by Boatrocker co-founder Matt Houghton to time spent exploring Northern Germany and its breweries back in the day.
